World2Meet unveils its vision of the travel journey of the future at MWC 2026 with “The New Travel Project”

As part of the 20th edition of the Mobile World Congress (MWC), taking place from 2 to 5 March in Barcelona, World2Meet (W2M) is taking part in the Talent Arena with a strategic proposal focused on innovation, talent and the transformation of travel through “The New Travel Project” — a pioneering initiative that aims to improve the travel experience for all stakeholders involved, from travellers to every member of the value chain. Driven by Mobile World Capital and in collaboration with GSMA, the organiser of MWC, the Talent Arena is a forum dedicated to tech talent and innovation.

  • The company will run an Open Innovation Challenge with 30 students from four universities and will take part in a roundtable on the end-to-end transformation of the value chain.

“The New Travel Project” was created with the aim of improving travel in every respect and for all the stakeholders who make it possible — from the traveller to each link in the value chain. The key lever for this transformation is innovation, understood as a culture that forms part of the group’s DNA and is now being structured into a strategy and concrete actions. Within this framework, World2Meet has developed a strong focus on Digital Experience, putting technology at the service of a holistic vision of the travel experience and of the efficiency of all the stakeholders involved.

The participation of W2M in the Talent Arena is structured around three major milestones. First, on Monday 2 March at 15:00, Gabriel Subías, CEO of W2M, will lead a session at the Talent Arena where he will share the strategic vision of “The New Travel Project” and how, through innovation and Digital Experience, the company is driving the travel journey of the future.

Second, on Tuesday 3 March from 17:30 to 18:15, the company will take part in the roundtable “A value chain serving a new concept of travel experience”, which will examine how Digital Experience connects all business areas in a cross-cutting way and how it impacts distribution, technology and marketing, building a more integrated, efficient and customer-oriented value chain.

The third pillar is the launch of W2M’s first Open Innovation Challenge, an initiative designed to attract emerging talent and generate innovative solutions for the future of travel, with the participation of 30 students from four universities: ESADE, Tecnocampus, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and ESIC Business & Marketing School. The final pitch will take place on Monday 2 March, from 10:30 to 12:20, at the Mobile World Capital stand, where the teams will present their proposals to a jury.

With its presence at the Talent Arena, W2M demonstrates its pioneering character in customer-centric innovation within Spain’s outbound travel industry. The company continues to drive the transformation of the travel experience, while seeking to attract top talent and actively taking part in the arenas where the future of the sector is being shaped.
