World2Meet drives its growth strategy in Europe with the acquisition of Altura and a long-term commercial agreement with Hoteles Globales
World2Meet has closed a joint strategic operation that decisively consolidates its positioning in the European market. It includes both the acquisition of Altura—a bed bank and incoming agency with a presence in various European markets—and the signing of an exclusive long-term commercial agreement with Hoteles Globales, one of the leading leisure hotel chains in Spain.
- This operation expands W2M's position in European hotel distribution and strengthens its value proposition in key markets such as Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Northern Europe.
Madrid, January 30, 2026.
This operation is part of W2M's growth plan, aimed at boosting its hotel distribution capacity, expanding its value proposition, and strengthening stable, long-lasting relationships with strategic partners in major European source markets.
The acquisition of Altura represents significant strategic value for W2M due to the company's excellent hotel contracting and deep product knowledge, as well as its talent and highly experienced professional team. Furthermore, Altura stands out for its penetration and high capillarity in the Irish market, where it has established itself as a reference company. The integration of Altura will allow W2M to reinforce its positioning in Europe and generate synergies that provide greater value to both clients and distribution partners.
Within the framework of this operation, W2M has closed an exclusive long-term commercial agreement with Hoteles Globales, a leading hotel chain in major Spanish destinations with a product widely recognized and highly accepted in British and Northern European holiday markets. This alliance will allow Hoteles Globales to diversify its distribution, improve occupancy outside of peak season, control rate parity, and reinforce its positioning across all European markets, supported by W2M's distribution capacity, market knowledge, and commercial network.
Gabriel Subías, CEO of W2M, stated: "This operation clearly reinforces our long-term growth strategy in Europe. The incorporation of Altura brings us talent and top-level hotel contracting, while the agreement with Hoteles Globales strengthens our proposal with a high-prestige chain that is very well-positioned in the main European source markets."
Hoteles Globales has a total of 57 hotels distributed in Spain and internationally. In Spain, the chain is present in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Andalusia, Madrid, Asturias, and Aragon. Internationally, the chain also has establishments in Nicaragua, Belgium, and Argentina.
The combination of both operations positions W2M as a key player in European hotel distribution, reinforcing its capacity to offer a competitive, diversified holiday product aligned with the needs of major source markets, while strengthening its commitment to a vision of sustainable long-term growth.
