Icárion adds new Asian destinations to “The Grand Journey Through the Palate” and launches a competition for travel agencies.

Icárion, the long-haul tour operator of World2Meet (the travel division of the Iberostar Group), expands the reach of “The Grand Journey Through the Palate” with new experiences that invite travellers to discover Asia through its flavours, landscapes, and traditions. As part of this expansion, it is launching a commercial campaign aimed at travel agencies, with an incentive linked to the sale of these itineraries.

From 13 June to 13 July, participating agencies will compete to achieve the highest number of bookings to Asian destinations such as Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, among others. The agency that records the most sales during this period will win an exclusive tasting menu for two at a Michelin-starred restaurant, with several options available in either Madrid or Catalonia.

Through this initiative, Icárion strengthens its commitment to travel agencies as strategic partners, offering not only high-quality products to long-haul destinations, but also incentives that recognise and reward the commercial efforts of its collaborators.

“The Grand Journey Through the Palate”, an innovative project that blends long-haul travel with haute cuisine, reaffirms Icárion’s ability to deliver unique and exclusive experiences. The campaign is supported by five renowned chefs, including Hugo Muñoz (Ugo Chan, one Michelin star), Martina Puigvert (Les Cols, two Michelin stars), and Roberto Ruiz (who earned the first Michelin star for a Mexican restaurant in Europe), along with other notable figures such as Lucía Grávalos and Toni Romero.

This initiative invites travellers to explore destinations such as Mexico, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, and Peru through their culinary culture. It not only brings travellers closer to each place, but also deepens their emotional and cultural connection with each destination—positioning Icárion as a benchmark in the creation of transformative travel experiences.
